Digging into the Dean’s blog

Congrats from me to the FAMU School of Journalism & Graphic Communication grads

Student success is my mantra. African American students who are enrolled in our nation’s colleges and universities are my primary focus. As the former dean of the School of Journalism & Graphic Communication at Florida A&M University, my mission remains to strategically provide educational opportunities for students. Their backgrounds range from highly successful scholars to what we term “first-time-in-college” (FITC) students. The latter category represents a cadre of students who are the first ones in their immediate families to attend or graduate from an institution of higher learning.

All students, their parents, guardians and mentors will find  my topics relevant to successfully navigating through college and university experiences.
